Members are pursuing serious creative work across a wide range of disciplines. Some are writing novels or screenplays. Others are building media ventures, starting companies, publishing essays, filming documentaries, or preparing for gallery exhibitions. The field is secondary. What matters is devotion to the work.

The Rosedale Society costs $300 per month. Your membership not only grants you 24/7 access to our clubhouse, but it also gives you free admission all ATX Writing Club events, as well as free tickets to our workshops, author talks, and quarterly merch.

Yes. While The Rosedale Society was founded by writers, we welcome all those who are seeking connection to the most impactful, and intellectually curious, creatives in Austin. Architects, filmmakers, designers, entrepreneurs, composers, data scientists, sculptors, and others are all encouraged to apply.

We meet in a 1940’s bungalow designed for creative work. Inside, you’ll find desks for deep focus and large communal tables for conversation and debate. The space is bright, quiet, and lined with windows that open onto a lush garden filled with tropical plants. Complimentary coffee, wine, beer, liquor, and snacks are always available. It is a perfect place for serious creatives.

The Society is located in the Rosedale neighborhood of Austin, Texas. We’re about one mile from First Light Books, or a two-minute drive from MoPac.

Each member of The Rosedale Society will be given a unique door code. This will grant them 24/7 access to the space.

To protect the focus and privacy of our members, we do not offer tours.

The Rosedale Society is a private and carefully curated community. Guests are not permitted.

Phone calls and video calls are not allowed. We’ve spent hours designing the space for focused, in-person, creative work and discussion. In addition to no calls, we do not allow any computer monitor sets ups in the space.

The Rosedale Society is capped at 99 members. When we hit that number, membership is closed and no future members will be accepted. This limit was created to build a tight knit community, where you know everyone’s name.

Currently our youngest members are in their 30’s, while our oldest are in their 60’s. However, what binds our community is a shared intellectual ethic that can be found at any age.

Application review times vary based on cohort size and current availability. Most applicants can expect a review period of two to sixteen weeks.
